Over these 6 weeks, students will be introduced to lino block printmaking in a really hands-on, step-by-step way. We’ll start with the basics, like how to safely use the tools, and slowly build up to creating more personal and detailed prints.

What to expect:

The beggining of the course there will be 2 prints for the students to choose to create as their first print.

After the first two classes students will have time to make their own concepts for their upcoming prints. Each week builds on the last, but there’s always room to experiment and make things your own.

What students will learn:

• Learn basic lino printing and tool safety
• Transfer and carve simple designs
• Create original prints on paper and fabric
• Explore ink and texture techniques
• Complete a final two-part print (diptych)
