Program & Refund Policy

Welcome to Happy Hands Studio! Please review the following policies before enrolling in any of our programs:

1. Registration and Payment:

  • Advanced registration is highly recommended or required for all of our programs.

  • Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis, with limited spots available for each class.

  • We cannot guarantee additional sessions or spaces once a program reaches its capacity.

  • Payment in advance is required to secure your spot in a program and to ensure classes have the necessary financial support to commence.

2. Changes and Cancellations:

  • Program details and instructors are subject to change without prior notice.

  • Classes may be subject to cancellation based on enrollment or other circumstances.

3. Withdrawals & Refunds:

  • To withdraw from a program, please contact Happy Hands Studio at  info@happyhandspottery.ca.

  • Refund requests must be made at least one (1) week prior to the program’s scheduled start date.

  • Refunds will not be issued for withdrawals made less than one (1) week before the program begins.

  • Please note there are no refunds or credits offered if your child needs to be picked up early for any reason, including illness and behaviour issues. No refunds or credits for missed time in the event a parent needs to be called if a child is not able to continue with the class either partially or permanently due to bullying or disruptive, violent, inappropriate or disrespectful behaviour.

  • Refunds are subject to a $20 administrative fee.

4. Cancellation or Postponement:

  • We recommend enrolling at least two (2) weeks before the program’s start date to ensure it runs as scheduled.

  • If a course is cancelled due to low enrollment, enrolled students will be notified at least one week before the first session and will receive a full refund.

  • Happy Hands Studio reserves the right to cancel or postpone programs, with refunds provided accordingly.

5. Transfers:

  • Transfers between classes within the same program are subject to availability and instructor approval.

6. Make-Up Classes:

  • Unfortunately, we do not offer make-up classes for missed sessions.

7. Trial Classes:

  • Trial classes for children’s programs (if available) are limited to one class per student. Continued enrollment requires registration for the program.

  • Auditing or sitting in on classes is only permitted with prior authorization and proof of payment.

8. Identification Requirement:

  • All items must be clearly labelled with a name, initials, or stamp. Unidentified items may be disposed of. This applies to items for art classes, drawing workshops and ceramic firing.

9. Storage and Pick-Up:

  • Items left at the studio beyond the initial pick-up notification for 3 weeks will be disposed of or donated.

  • Personal items from Pottery Wheel Time must be stored on designated shelves to avoid disposal.

  • Any personal belongings left in the studio will be disposed of after 2 weeks.

10. Weather:

  • Weather-related cancellations will be posted on our website and can be inquired about via email.

  • Make-up sessions for weather-related cancellations are not guaranteed.

11. Program Delivery in Unusual/Extreme Circumstances:

  • In the event of extreme circumstances, such as extreme weather or government-mandated closures, program content may be modified or delivered online. Refunds or credits will not be provided for modified programs.

12. Anti-Bullying Policy:

  • Happy Hands Studio maintains a zero-tolerance policy for violence, bullying, and disrespectful behavior. Students exhibiting such behavior may be removed from the program, with a refund issued for the remaining sessions subject to a $20 administration fee.
