Ghibli Food Illustration using Acrylic Markers Course

Course description: Ready to try illustrating more anime scenes with acrylic markers? In this course, we will illustrate one food scene from a Studio Ghibli film per week for four weeks. We will be using acrylic markers and a drawing pen to complete the anime look. By illustrating week on week, you will get more comfortable with using acrylic markers and develop an eye for identifying or mixing the colors that you are closest to the reference photo.

What to expect:
- In each week of the course, the session will start with a short lesson and demo on the techniques that we will be using that day
- Students will transfer a sketch from a reference outline image onto their watercolor paper using tracing paper
- The instructor will share which colors to use and mix to achieve the colors of the reference image while encouraging the students to try selecting colors of their own
- Students will illustrate different food scenes from Studio Ghibli films using acrylic markers and a drawing pen

What students will learn:
- How to illustrate animated food scenes with acrylic markers
- How to identify colors or mix some to achieve the colors we want based on the reference image
- How to make animated drawings pop with a drawing pen
