Community Kiln Rental – Cone 6 Glaze Firing
Our Community Glaze Firing is designed for finished, glazed bisque ware using Cone 6 firings. Book your shelf space in advance and fire with confidence.
Glaze Firing Details
- Fired to Cone 6
- Rented by the shelf (Half or Full)
- 1 Community Glaze Firing per month
- Firing cycle: approximately 3 days
- Maximum 1 full shelf per person per firing
Shelf Sizes
- Half Shelf: 21″ × 12″
- Full Shelf: 21″ × 21″
Full Shelf:
- Add 2 half shelves to your cart to receive the full shelf rate automatically.
Glaze Requirements
- All pieces must be properly glazed and labeled
- Glaze Pass required to use studio glazes
Glaze Pass includes:
- Glazing for all your pieces
- Unlimited access during Open Studio hours on glazing day
Piece Guidelines
- Maximum height: 6 inches
- Leave 1/8″ of the bottom of your piece unglazed.
- Taller or unusual forms require studio approval
- Excessive glaze, glaze layering, or unsafe applications may result in refusal
Pick-Up Policy
Pieces must be picked up within 1 month, otherwise pieces will be discareded
Important Notes
Firings outside Cone 6 require prior discussion
Firing fees include staff labor, utilities, kiln operation, storage, and standard equipment wear
Happy Hands Pottery Studio is not liable for glaze runs, sticking, breakage, or other kiln outcomes
Unsafe or improperly glazed work will not be fired
Confirmation form required at drop-off
