In this welcoming 6-week course for art hobbyists, you’ll discover the versatility of acrylic markers through hands-on studies on exciting surfaces like paper, ceramic tile, shrink plastic, canvas panels, and canvas bags. From simple mark-making to 3D illustrations, landscapes, and wearable art, you’ll build confidence with color blending, line control, and creative techniques in a relaxed, beginner-friendly environment.

The fee includes a set of 36 acrylic markers that you will use throughout the course and can take home with you.


What to expect:

Over six weeks, you’ll explore the versatility of acrylic markers across a variety of surfaces, from paper and canvas to ceramic tile, shrink plastic, and fabric. Each session is designed to build your confidence with marker control, color application, and creative techniques in a relaxed, beginner-friendly environment.

You’ll start with basic mark-making and line control, then gradually move into more complex projects such as 3D-style illustrations, surface design, and wearable art. Through guided demonstrations and hands-on practice, you’ll learn how to adapt your techniques to different materials while developing your own creative style.


What students will learn:

  • Acrylic marker basics – Understand how markers work on different surfaces, with tips on care, line tests, and initial mark-making exercises.
  • 3D illustration techniques – Learn color blending, value creation, and realistic shading for dynamic illustrations.
  • Surface-specific skills – Master transferring designs to ceramic tiles, shrink plastic key rings, canvas panels, and fabric bags.
  • Creative application – Practice abstract patterns, personalized elements, landscapes, and custom bag designs with clean shapes, expressive lines, and layered textures.
