Wild Strokes: Creating Animals in Mixed Media is an imaginative course that explores the art of animal portraiture through diverse materials and techniques. You'll learn to blend watercolor, ink, collage, pastel, and more to craft expressive, textured animal artworks. From bold brushstrokes to delicate detailing, this course emphasizes creativity, experimentation, and personal style.

Day 1:
Dive in Watercolor: Create your own feature of watercolor with learning color theory

Day 2:
Sketching with Oil pastel: Pick an animals you like and start sketching together!

Day 3:
Coloring with different mediums: Discover the joy of coloring with different mediums—explore colour pencils, pastels, markers, and more to create rich, textured, and vibrant animals full of depth, personality, and creative expression.

Day 4:
Design the background in collage: Designing a collage background adds depth and visual interest to your artwork. Use torn papers, textured fabrics, magazine clippings, and patterned materials to build layers. Experiment with color, contrast, and composition to complement your subject. Overlap shapes, add painted elements, or include text for extra dimension. A well-crafted collage background enhances the overall mood and storytelling of your piece.

Day 5: 
Refine the details and appreciation: In the final session, we’ll refine the details that bring your animal portrait to life—adding highlights, texture, and finishing touches. We'll also celebrate each artist’s journey, share feedback, and appreciate the creativity and growth shown throughout the workshop. It’s a moment to reflect, connect, and take pride in your work.
