Workshop Overview

Are you ready to further hone your watercolor practice? In this watercolor workshop, you will be painting a festive Holiday Pound Cake featuring warm brown tones, simple icing drips, and subtle holiday accents. You’ll practice techniques like wet on wet, wet on dry, dry on dry, layering, and blending to achieve realistic textures—from the soft glaze to the rich cake surface. You will also learn how to add delicate highlights using white gouache for a polished and festive finish.

What to expect from this workshop::
📘 The session will begin with a short lesson and demo on the watercolor techniques used to paint the Holiday Pound Cake
⚠️ Students will transfer a sketch from a reference outline image onto their watercolor paper using tracing paper    
📐 The instructor will share which colors to use and mix to achieve the colors of the reference image while encouraging the students to try mixes of their own
